Head of Bight

Daddy arrived home yesterday. He flew into Ceduna to a VERY excited family. I think we got some looks from the other REX passengers who thought daddy had been away for a very long time. Ceduna was not as terrible as I had expected, but it's definately not our new home.

I finally got to the hairdressers for a cut & a full head of foils. It was HEAVEN!!! I feel like a new woman.

Today our adventure really begins. We are headed to the West Coast, starting with the Nullabor.

Michael & dad headed out yesterday afternoon to play their first two holes of the "Nullabor Links" golf game. It is Australia's longest golf course. The first two holes are at Ceduna golf course. The 3rd is at Penong.

The 4th hole is approx 70kms up the road at Nundroo....the wombat hole. The boys thought they may have possibly lost a ball so chose a fluro option. They were so convinced that it was going to be a long hole that they took the kids. At least the fairway had been slashed. I don't think the kids had to look a lot but they made great caddies.

I think they putted just in time ... Before the rain arrived.

Ha ha...here we go!

Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of our firstborn. Can you believe that Tenae is 11.

Do you like my apprentice chef. Cake was an epic fail but I'm sure it will taste fabulous. It's covered in maltesers so Tenae won't care.

My creative little girls. They can make fun out of anything. Today they made a roller coaster for their handball. They played for hours with our firewood...until the temperature dropped & we needed warmth.

We have set up camp at Head of Bight. It is supposed to be a fabulous whale watching vantage point, although it is the beginning of the season. We spoke to the caretakers today and there have been three whales in the bay today & quite active. We are hoping that by waiting until tomorrow, we may have the opportunity to see more, just in time for Tenae's birthday. What a birthday to remember!
