Caiguna to Norseman

A big driving day today. Two more golf holes. Balladonia roadhouse was the hole that came with the snake warning. We decided we'd stay with the car but, no snakes today. We had lunch...the kids had a mish mash of dry crackers. This is anything I had leftover in the van. Supplies are getting low. We can't even get water because the drought along the Nullabor is so bad.

Lucky we've been very water wise & I bought an extra 20 litres of drinking water (& 12 bottles of wine) in Ceduna...lol.

Seriously though, the lack of fresh fruit & vegetables is no longer funny. Dinner tonight for the kids was sausages, baked beans & scrambled eggs. Mind you, they came back for seconds so I'm not sure why I'm bothered.

The 2nd hole of the day was called Fraser Range. It's a beautiful sheep station. We looked at staying there but they are charging $55 per night for a site & you have to pay for showers???

We've stopped about 15km short of Norseman at a roadside stop...$0. It's far enough from the road to not hear trucks & I see a run trail :-) good thing the sun is up before 6am so I can see any wild animals that may lie in wait for me.
Not many turns in our travels today. We've found the heavy vehicle drivers quite friendly. We radio them & tell them when they are ready to overtake we'll back off. Most are very appreciative. Nan & pop had a delightful one today. When dad radioed to tell him to let him know when he was ready, he didn't answer. Dad radioed him again, thinking he hadn't heard. Apparently, he was just arrogant. Things deteriorated rapidly & he ended up telling dad he was driving a piece of crap! You can't please everyone.
I hope he had a great day....NOT!!!
This is what happens on LONG stints of driving. Michael thinks he's a rapper. The kids think he's mad :-)

We are being water wise so the last two nights the kids have had pommy baths. Tonight Keira said "I think we need a bigger bath". Love it...making the best of a difficult situation.

This shows where we are using google maps. Off to Kalgoorlie tomorrow!
