Esperance

First stop was the tourist information so we could by a Western Australian National Park Pass. It worked out better for us to buy the Annual Pass which was $88.00 for the year. Unlike South Australia, the camp fees are an additional fee but at $25 per night it's still a better option than caravan parks. There are quite a few we'd like to visit, although there is no online booking system. First in, first served.  Fingers crossed because Cape Le Grand looks fabulous.
The tourist information is set amongst a little village of unusual craft & gift shops.
This tree would be warm in winter.

Nanny & poppy dropped their van in for brakes service. It seemed to be quite simple. We were finding parking a little difficult so we thought we'd try our luck checking in early. Luckily it was no problem.

We unhitched the bikes & took off, whilst Michael caught up on some phone calls & emails.
Here comes the "bush buddies".
Stunning bay. There is even a floating pontoon with a slide into the water. It was be awesome in, say, February.
The foreshore & we found....a giant whale tail. No sightings for us but we haven't given up hope.
This is the slippery slide in the distance. A large port with two ships being loaded. I'm not sure of their cargo? Ore?
Nan & pop messaged to tell us about a French bakery that had found. The kids had such a huge ride I thought they deserved a treat. They were pretty impressed :-)

  1. I love seeing you all riding the bikes. What a great way to get around and see the sights!
