El questro

Oops! Michael found his sunglasses in his shorts pocket BUT his lenses were still there. You don't get good quality for $6.00 I suppose.

It wasn't just me having "a moment" today, Michael shared one too. This is what the kids say when I see something incredible that causes me to become emotional. This was Emma Gorge in the El Questro Wilderness Area.
It started as a leisurely sandy walk BUT the rocky part followed. Our group broke up because it was quite tough for Charley.
Even our feet did a little river crossing.
The Turqoise Pool...aptly named. We had been assured that it was crocodile free & safe to swim.
This is the swimming hole that we arrived at. It was only a 1.6km hike but took 1 hour. Simply amazing...a waterfall to swim under & a thermal spring running in.
A lovely picnic area at the homestead. We shouted ourselves an awesome coffee, although it was possibly the smallest coffee I've had.
Onto El Questro homestead for a look around. This is Chamberlain Gorge with our first crocodile warning sign. It's ok, Isaac wasn't taken, he was just stuffed & sitting in the car.
This is the little river crossing on the way in & out of El Questro. I wish the Volkswagen Transporter that we passed all the luck in the world :-)
