A BIG day!!!

My run this morning was really peaceful until I noticed some scary animal tracks that looked a lot like snakes. I think dingoes & dingo pups too. We left our lovely roadside camp for a big driving day.
Geikie Gorge...just out of Fitzroy Crossing. I would have loved to have time to do the cruise. We are running out of time...and money.
This area is very susceptible to flooding. We were lucky enough to not see any more crocodiles.
We are getting very close to changing direction. I don't really like the sound of that :-(
Next stop was Halls Creek for a water top up...20c per litre. People who complain about water restrictions, really shouldn't. Water is a REAL problem in some of these communities. I was happy to drive through this town. Definately not our new home!
The termite mounds are getting bigger. There are just so many of them. I can see why all the homes are made from corrugated iron. A log cabin would not be a great idea out here.
I will crop this photo to show the size of this eagle...incredible. It's a shame it was taken on my phone & not with the zoom lense. He was a big bird!
Our home for two nights so that we can explore the Bungle Bungles:-)
