Monkey Mia

II've wanted to go to Monkey Mia since I was a little girl. It was pretty special that I got to go with my beautiful family.

It was a 6am rise to get to the Dolphins. Unfortunately, because of car delays we are travelling at the start of WA school holidays & everything is crazy busy. We managed to get 2nights at a van park (of sorts) but it's about 100km from Monkey Mia.

The look on the kids faces as the Dolphins came to shore was priceless. Keira was selected from the large crowd to feed the dolphin. My little animal lover was thrilled.

We grabbed a nice coffee because we needed it. Roger is still not playing nice. We were worried that we'd have dramas when we phoned Mandurah Toyota but, no, they phoned Carnarvon Toyota & we are booked in for Thursday. Fingers crossed it's nothing major.

On the way home, after a play on the beach & a few visits to the shore from random Dolphins, we headed to Eagle Bluff. It is a viewing platform overlooking a shallow crystal clear bay. It is a popular swim area for sharks. You wouldn't believe it....we saw sharks. At least two. How exciting (at least from where we were).
Buggar...someone playing with my phone settings. It doesn't show the incredibly blue water.

Another fabulous stop on our way home was Shell Beach. It's literally covered in tiny white shells. The water has a really high salt content & is only knee high.

Nanna snapped this family photo after we wrote our name in shells!
