Out & about in Alice springs

We left camp about 8am & headed about 200kms out of Alice Springs to Gosse Bluff. This is a huge crater caused by a meteorite during the dinosaur age. We climbed to the top for a better look.

We then headed into Redbank Gorge...about a 20minute walk up a riverbed....pool noodles in tow. There was water in the gorge so we were able to swim through the gorge...rock walls metres in the air either side of us. It was special.

On the way back into town we realised how much rain town had seen throughout the day. We were on our way home when we noticed water in the Todd river.  It had just started to flow. The last time this happened was April 2014...and prior to that December 2012.
