Alice Springs


A good day to catch up on grocery shopping. It's such a shame that tourism is struggling in Alice Springs. There are so many day trips. The main problem is that all the major airlines fly straight to the rock so no one needs to visit Alice. 

We saw the Todd River in full flow again though. Who would have thought so much rain in the NT in January. Everyone keeps apologising but it's special to see :-)

Today we finally arrived at 'the big red rock'. The kids were very impressed (especially Michael). I lived here 19 years ago but I'd forgotten how amazing it really is....truly magical!!!
