Farewell Colac

I managed a run this morning...it was lovely. I did take my phone in case I needed Michael lol. Talking to some locals...it appears that Colac is suffering an ICE epidemic...just like many country towns. The problem is that they don't have the social, or health services, to deal with the problem. It's a real problem...tearing communities apart :-(
Millionaires row...the other side was worse...I wasn't game enough to photograph!

We really loved The Grampians when we drove through but with a dodgy handbrake on the Troopy it wasn't such a great spot to attempt a stop. Troopy is all fixed ($800 later) so we've ventured back for another look. We have to hang around in Victoria because Michael has a few days training next week.

We've found a farm stay not farm from the Grampians..."old man emu" farmstay. $15 per night...fire pit, pot belly & wood. You need to be fully self contained but with this view...whose complaining??? We looked online at the Big 4...$250 for 3 nights on a powered site. Caravan parks can whinge all they but they are pricing big families out. We are sharing a 100 acre property with one other family, a few hundred sheep, kangaroos, emus & deer....

It's so dry...poor farmers. This is a sheep property but he said of an afternoon & evening we should see emu & deer :-)

Hmmm...firewood??? The kids decided a cubby house was a better option lol. Almost teary...playing so well together. So different to home! Precious xxx
